Well though I should though an update on here, haven't mapped for a wile but I'm always looking at things thinking how they would look cool to run around in. Lots of things with lighting, such as how to make something look natural in a game or just give off light at the base of a wall to light up the side of a building to make it not so dark in some maps.
Well after getting the site back online, my old host found another spammer supposedly using Horde mail to spam. So I just moved all my sites over to my newer host Crucial Web and am resetting things up!
I am still planning on doing the Half-Life 2 mapping tutorial area of the site, that well review video and text based help on mapping, along with a basics to advanced guide to mapping from the better ones I find. This isn't to say that I well not be making a few my self that I find to be needed. :)
Well I have been messing a little with mapping for HL2 and its kinda cool, lots of new things in hammer. I wish I hadnt lost some of my will to map for so long. After seeing what some of the guys that are mapping for source are doing im just amazed and some what inspired to get something going. Its one of the things I'm going to try to get my self up to doing. Lots of things im working on bettering my self with and mapping is going to be something I well do.
